SUBMISSIONS OPEN

MARCH 30th - DECEMBER 31st 2026

After an amazing debut year, Dragonfly International Film Festival is back for round two - and trust us, it’s going to be bigger, bolder, and even more filmmaker-friendly!

Our very first Screening and Awards Presentation SOLD OUT, bringing together filmmakers and film lovers for a brilliant night celebrating independent cinema. The energy in the room was electric, and we can’t wait to build on that momentum.

In March 2027, Dragonfly expands to two days of curated screenings and awards, giving even more films the chance to shine on the big screen - plus the opportunity to meet, network, celebrate your work… and yes, walk the red carpet!

PROMOTION STARTS AT SUBMISSION

The Dragonfly experience starts the moment you submit your film. We actively promote every submission: posters, premises, credits, social media shoutouts, and promo trailers - making sure your work gets noticed long before the festival begins.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

“Lancashire has long deserved a film festival that represents its creative community, and Dragonfly delivers.”

Lancashire and North West Magazine (Feb 2026)

"A wonderful team and a wonderful festival. Su and John work exceptionally hard to create a super inclusive environment for films of all types and filmmakers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Fantastic build up with wonderful social media exposure and brilliant trailers.

Can see this festival going from strength to strength."

Morning Sir Productions - 'Bruised' & ' Gan Canny'

The entire Dragonfly team were superb during every stage of the festival. They’re incredibly personable, supportive and professional. We had a great time at the awards evening and were honoured to be a part of such a high quality festival. 10/10 would recommend and I’ll definitely be submitting future projects to them.

Adam Rich - 'True'

"A superb, well organised, film festival set up by filmmakers, who know what they are doing and what filmmakers want. Friendly, fun, well hosted and well organised with great communications. Go if you can. Highly recommended!"
