Submissions: Only via FilmFreeway or CenterFrame. No email or physical submissions accepted.

Film Categories & Limits:

• Short Film (up to 20 mins) 

• Short Comedy (up to 20 mins)

• Women in Film (up to 20 mins) – significant female/female-identifying key crew

• Short Horror (up to 20 mins)

• Music Video (up to 10 mins)

• Underrepresented Filmmakers (up to 20 mins) – significant underrepresented representation

• Student Short Film (up to 20 mins) – key crew in education

• North West UK Short Film (up to 20 mins) – produced or filmed in North West England.

• Short Documentary (up to 20 mins)

• Short Animation (up to 20 mins)

Eligibility:

• Completed since 1 Jan 2023

• Premiere status not required

• Previously submitted films only eligible if significantly updated

Format & Language:

• Digital files only (.mp4 or .mov)

• Non-English films must include English subtitles

​

Fees & Rights:

• Submission fees non-refundable

• Filmmaker must hold all rights to the film

• Dragonfly may use up to 30 seconds for promotion

​

Selection & Screening:

• Festival reserves the right to disqualify films not following rules

• Selected films screened during festival in Preston, UK

​

Conduct:

Inclusive, respectful environment; harassment or discrimination not tolerated
